The Junior Academy
The Junior Academy uses the Golf Foundation Junior Golf Passport. This is a comprehensive, progressive, structured exercise designed to help young people learn about playing the game of golf. The Passport scheme encourages and motivates beginners through the achievement of attainment targets combined with rewards and the most important element … FUN!
Junior Members “On Course Golf ”
On Friday evenings (5.00pm after Easter is the “Junior Members Roll Up”
This is a popular evening, with the children playing up to 9 holes with adult supervision. Parents are very welcome to walk around but will need to pay a small charge of 50p to cover insurance.

Summer Holiday Competitions
Certain Competitions have been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic more information to follow!
The Monday Shield
Six individual stableford competition rounds played over 18 holes during the summer holidays. Open to all junior members.
The winner is the golfer whom returns the best 3 aggregate stableford scores out of a possible 6 rounds on selected dates during the summer holidays.
A prize will be awarded to each individual weekly winner.
Max Handicap 54 (Full Allowance)
Yellow & Red Tees
Ages: 7-9 years will compete in a separate competition over 9 holes and must be accompanied by an adult on the course.
Monday Shield Competition Dates 2020
(Cancelled due to Covid-19)
The competition will start from 9:40am unless stated
Consideration and respect must be shown to adult golfers by letting them play through if they are playing faster than your group.
Entry Fee: £2.00 per event. 1st & 2nd Prizes on the day
All cards will qualify for official handicap review and must be returned to the Pro Shop on completion of the round.

Social Media Policy
Tehidy Junior Social Media Policy Social media (including personal and professional websites, blogs, chat rooms and bulletin boards; social networks, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram; video-sharing sites such as YouTube) are a common means of communication and self-expression.
It is essential that junior members, organisers, and parents make informed decisions about how they use the internet, mobile phone, and email communications to protect our Junior Members and participating Tehidy Tigers.
Everyone involved at Tehidy Park Golf Club has the responsibility to safeguard both on and off the golf course, including communications.
Parents will be asked to give their approval for us to communicate with their children through social media or by any other means of communication.
Parents will be asked to give permission for photographs or video’ of their child to be posted on Social Media.
It is the responsibility of all members to:
1. Refrain from publishing comments about other junior golfers, organisers, parents, and other golf clubs, and any controversial or potentially inflammatory subjects.
2. Avoid hostile or harassing communications in any posts or other online communications. Harassment is any offensive conduct based on a person`s race, sex, gender identity, national origin, colour, disability, age sexual orientation, veteran status, marital status, religion, or any other status protected by law.
3. The Tehidy Junior Section will identify all copyrighted or borrowed material with citations and links. When publishing direct paraphrased quotes, thoughts, ideas, photos, or videos, give credit to the original publisher or author.
4. Tehidy Park Golf Club will be responsible for reviewing responses to online posts and resolving any concerns before they are posted. As a club we commit to implementing this policy and addressing any concerns quickly and within these guidlines
